Indulge with a Creamy Lime Pineapple Dole Whip Frozen Dessert!
Any Dole Whip fans out there?
Have you heard Disney has a new Lime Pineapple Whip flavor available at Disney World? According to Popsugar.online, you can now enjoy this new flavor inside the resort and at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort outside of the gates. Yippee!
Oh my goodness… my family LOVES this popular soft serve creamy pineapple dessert. We have enjoyed it at Disneyland and in Hawaii, and can’t get enough. I have even shared our DIY versions 2-ingredient pineapple whip and DIY frozen Disney pineapple whip in the past.
Now, watch me whip!
Since I don’t see an exciting Disney trip in my near future, today I’m making my own lime Dole whip (and we can just pretend for a minute were are on a magical Disney vacation)!
Start with frozen pineapple!
The rest of the ingredients can be adapted to taste and dietary needs, but freezing lots of pineapple first and then blending it in a food processor or high-powered blender is the key to success with this simple frozen treat. To incorporate lime flavor, I used a little bit of limeade frozen concentrate, and it was YUM!
Hip Tip: Disney Parks uses vegan Dole Whip. That said, while my recipe is not vegan, you could consider swapping coconut cream for the Cool Whip, and use agave instead of sweetened condensed milk.
Lime Pineapple Dole Whip
yield: 4 SERVINGS
prep time: 10 MINUTES
total time: 10 MINUTES
A frozen blend of limeade and pineapple chunks for a creamy whipped dessert!
Ingredients
- 4 cups of chopped pineapple, frozen (about 16 oz.)
- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup limeade concentrate
- 1 cup whipped topping
- optional: 2 drops green food coloring
Directions
1
Place frozen chopped pineapple, condensed milk, and limeade in the blender or food processor.
2
Process until pineapple is smooth. (You may need to stop machine and scoop mixture down a few times until smooth.) Fold in whipped topping and food coloring if using, then serve.
3
Optional Step: Place in a gallon freezer bag, cut the end off of one side, and pipe mixture into glasses for a soft serve ice cream look.
So creamy dreamy!
I mean seriously…this is basically pineapple lime heaven and such a great treat! It was easy to make, and my kids loved it. If you want to enjoy this with a firmer frozen texture, freeze it for a few hours and then serve.
I also think an adult version would be yummy with some rum for a fun tropical drink, or even with some bubbly champagne as a lime pineapple mimosa! Cheers!
