I have a traditional lame one that I got with a sourdough kit, and I vastly preferred this one. I do not worry about cutting myself while putting the blade in, and it is very easy to handle, letting me score my bread very easily and without very much effort at all. I also like the fact that it is magnetic, so I can just stick it on the side of my fridge and don’t have to clutter a drawer up or have it easily lost.
