I am an auto injury claims adjuster, and I see sooo many fraudulent claims every day of people lying about what took place to cause auto accidents. As well as a lot of hit-and-run claims. So I really know the value of having a dash-cam for insurance claims purposes, and wanted a quality dash-cam that would record the front and rear of my vehicle. So far, this little jewel fits my needs perfectly, and is an EXCELLENT value for the money.
Very easy to install and set up. Picture quality is clear, plus it has a lot of great features, including the ability to record sound, speed, and timestamps the video, and adjust the recording loop. All of the settings are easy to set up, and the camera itself is easy to operate. The screen can be adjusted to show the front or rear camera view. And it has Picture in Picture, so whichever view I choose as primary, I can still see the other view in the corner of the screen. Added bonus is the storage disc it onlinees with. I could also use wifi and easily view the videos on my phone. However, when using the camera wifi, I can’t also use the car wifi at the same time. So I wouldn’t be unable to use my car apple play to listen to music and streamline my phone hands-free to my car when I’m using the camera’s Wi-Fi feature. But that’s fine with me, I prefer to rely on the memory card instead.
It was very easy to hide the wires in the weather stripping and headliner of my SUV. Just tuck in and use the little tool included to keep it all straight and neat. The YouTube video helps to give an idea of the best way to hide the wires and give a pro install appeal. The hardest part of the install for me was the rear camera. Simply because I wanted to make sure I was getting the best camera view, while also not obstructing my view or having too much wire showing. I wanted to keep the aesthetics of my car intact as much as possible, and the rear camera is pretty discreet. I made the mistake of touching the wrong side of the little static cling shee,t and it didn’t work for me. So I ended up just mounting the sticky directly to my rear window.
