This Reader Scored 39¢ Clearance Books & Toys for Her Airbnb Rental!

If you have an actual home rental, things like decor and even toys are always fun additions. Although this can add up quickly, there are ways to save big! In this week’s Happy Friday post, reader Kay, tells us how she takes advantage of holiday clearances for the benefit of her Airbnb.
My husband and I have a side business renting out short-term rentals. As a mom of 4 small kids, I make it a point to have kid-friendly features at the rental, such as providing children’s furniture, children’s books, toys, games, reading nooks, a play kitchen, play tents, and lately, a chalkboard.
I added a yellow-framed chalkboard to the bunk room (I got that chalkboard for free on a Facebook Buy Nothing group)!
This week I went to Target and purchased some 90% Easter clearance, including Little Golden Books for $0.39 a piece! I got all the remaining 5 books on the shelf. The next day I went to Walmart and took advantage of their 75% Easter clearance. I purchased 15 packs of colored chalk, each containing 2 boxes of chalk, for only $0.25 a pack (or $0.125 a box).
I love the size and colors of these chalks. Now all they have to do is set out a new box each time we have new guests. I love using holiday clearance deals for non-holiday year-round purposes.
Owning an Airbnb has beonlinee super popular over the years, so special thanks to Kay for sharing how she used these clearance deals for her rental benefits! Although many of us don’t have rentals, we do host family or friends from time to time. Because of this, we can all learn a little something from Kay and score savings on all our hosting needs!
