Is the coronavirus making you anxious about your next trip to Starbucks?
Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson wrote a letter to customers yesterday outlining precautionary steps the onlinepany has already taken in response to COVID-19 and letting them know about changes they might see in the future. In fact, we posted about Starbucks suspending the use of reusable cups here.
Your Starbucks experience might look a little different as the coronavirus situation continues to unfold. If necessary, Starbucks may limit seating to improve social distancing, enable mobile order-only scenarios for pickup via the Starbucks App or delivery via Uber Eats, or in some cases, stores may keep only the Drive-Thru open.
As a last resort, stores will be closed if directed to do so by government authorities or if it is determined to be in the best interest of customers and partners. Any such disruptions are expected to be temporary. You can read Johnson’s entire letter here.
