   2 weeks ago I tried to use the 25% off entire purchase including sale item coupon, but then I was told by the cashier that I would have to pay the full price for the item if I wanted to get the 25% off because the onlineputer wouldn’t deduct 25% off a sale item. I said, “but the coupon says 25% off entire purchase including sale items. It would be false advertising if you can’t take off the discount”. The cashier apologized, said the cashiers always lose and that he didn’t know why corporate creates these “coupons” when their onlineputers can’t do the price adjustment.” Even though it was only going to save me $4 I left a bit frustrated (but didn’t take it out on the cashier). I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience at Michaels and if so is there a way that I/we can contact the corporate office?

  these coupons absolutely do take it off the “sale” price but I’m pretty sure they will not take it off a clearance price..i have never had this problem, but I would alert corporate so they can fix it or educate

  okay, I will try to figure out how to alert corporate about the mishap. It wasn’t a clearance item it was a sale item so the 25% discount should have worked.
