Those who enjoy shopping for high-quality brands like Lululemon, Tory Burch, and Anthropologie from the onlineforts of home will love the affordable prices on new and gently used clothing for yourself or the family using Poshmark.
There is a Poshmark desktop site, as well as a handy app that’s very user-friendly.
Nothing beats shopping for cute clothes from home online!
Over the course of the pandemic, my tween daughter and I have been using this app more and more to shop for stylish new and used clothing instead of going to stores. At first, I was hesitant, but after finding pre-owned Lululemon leggings for just $10, I was all-in on this modern way of buying clothing!
If you have a teen, then you may relate that their styles often change, they can beonlinee super picky about brands, and I honestly don’t want to spend a ton of money on pieces when I know she’ll likely not want to wear it next month. LOL!
I feel like Poshmark is a smart and frugal way to search and by the brands she enjoys such as PacSun, Tilly’s, Abercrombie, Vans, and Lululemon, while paying just a fraction of the full retail value.
Today I’ll be sharing some helpful tips when it onlinees to shopping AND savings on Poshmark.
1.) Sign up using our Poshmark referral code to get an extra discount!
New Poshmark account signups utilizing our referral code HIP2SAVEonline will score a FREE $10 credit towards your first purchase! Yippee!
2.) The search and filter tool will be your best friend for finding certain brands!
You will be able to search for favorite brands and then filter by size, color, price. You can even sort by “recent price drop” to see if someone has recently lowered a listing and “this just in” to see the most recent listings relevant to your search. I also highly reonlinemend following your favorite brands as well, because items from that brand will pop up in your feed!
Have a favorite article of clothing from years past that you’d love to replace? Try searching on Poshmark for it!
3.) Bundle items from the same Poshmark seller to save on shipping!
This is the first thing I learned when shopping Poshmark and it’s so valuable. Most listings have a $7.45 flat rate shipping paid for by the buyer. Often sellers will bundle items so you won’t incur additional shipping fees. For instance, if you bought a 2nd or 3rd item from the same shop weighing under 5 pounds, you could still pay the flat rate shipping for all pieces.
Also, you’ll notice that lots of sellers kick in an additional discount for larger bundles which gives you extra savings.
4.) Find and follow sellers that have similar sizes and styles to yourself.
Since I mostly purchase items for my daughter on here, we are following some sellers that will often post similar items she likes and it’s more like shopping from a friend’s closet! That way we are more likely to be able to bundle items to save.
5.) Use the LIKE heart button!
If you press like on a listing, and that seller happens to lower the price of the item, you’ll get a notification or a message from the seller. This actually just happened to me last night as I was late-night browsing in bed and pressed the heart icon on a few items in one shop. I woke up to a message from the seller offering a large bundle discount for those items!
6.) Be sure to look at the Poshmark photos and descriptions very closely.
About 30% of Poshmark is NWT, meaning new with tags. The other 70% of listings are gently used pre-owned items that could potentially have flaws. You can zoom in on any photos to inspect closer. It’s also important to read measurements and sizing info provided for fit.
Feel free to ask questions on a listing if you are curious about the condition or any details that may not be listed.
Poshmark’s return policy states: We will give you a full refund if your item never ships or does not match the listing description. Otherwise, all sales are final.
7. ) You can make an offer on a Poshmark listing.
I don’t tend to utilize this feature as much, but if you see something you like, it can’t hurt to make a reasonable offer. The Poshmark seller can always decline. Just be sure you want that item, because if/when they accept the offer, it’s considered a sale.
8.) Search Poshmark for your favorite brands and styles from Stitch Fix to save big!
Do you subscribe to Stitch Fix? I am a fan of that service and have been getting their styled boxes for the last couple of years. If there is a specific piece that you love or have tried on, try searching for it on Poshmark even if it’s older! Chances are you may find it new or gently used for much less.
I feel like Poshmark is a WIN-WIN all around!
Although I have not personally sold anything on Poshmark, I can see how this could be a convenient way to clean out the closet while also making some cash. I also love the idea of buying preloved pieces as a greener way of shopping too.
It’s a fun place to shop high-quality pieces from home and score some deals along the way.

My sidekick Michelle recently tried Poshmark and here’s what she had to say:
“On Halloween, my favorite animated candy dish was stolen I had had for years. All the neighbor kids LOVED it and it really was the only cool Halloween thing I owned. I was on a mission to replace it and the only place I found it was on Poshmark. It was my first time purchasing anything from there and it was super smooth. Haven’t bought anything since but I think it’s a cool place to find ‘hard-to-find’ items!”
