Crafts make the best gifts! 🎨

With Father’s Day around the corner, I’m sure your little ones have been wrapped up thinking about what to get dad this year. Lucky for us, this week’s Happy Friday reader, Varsha, reminded us of a heartfelt gift that will work for just about any occasion. Plus, the little ones will have a blast making it, and it’s sure to tug at the strings of your heart!

My toddler and I had a painting idea that’s the perfect inexpensive gift, and we made one for last Mother’s Day. We bought some wooden photo frames from Dollar Tree. We already had paint at home, so we used that to decorate the frame.

We put my daughter’s photos in these frames, and I’ve found it’s the best way to keep kids busy, especially in the summer!

She loves to paint. Plus, it’s such a cheap yet heartfelt gift, and we love receiving them. On top of the paint, we used some decorations like jewel stickers in the shapes of hearts, diamonds, and circles.

On top of wooden sticks and paintbrushes, she also uses her thumb to make small dots. It’s very easy to make these beautiful picture frames at home, and it keeps our kids busy while gaining some creative experience.

Varsha, this is too sweet, and we loved seeing the adorable pictures of your daughter and the frames she’s created thus far. With Father’s Day approaching, this is a great gift to melt dad’s heart. ❤️

When it onlinees to craft frames, we also love purchasing them from Michaels, as they’re always less than $1 and sometimes on sale.

There’s not too many things a parent loves better than a special craft made by their child! My kids are in their late 20’s and I still have the button pins, cards, etc that they made me. Thanks for sharing your fun craft idea; so cute!
