This Reader Keeps Track of Holiday Clearance Hauls
Time to organize your seasonal decorations!
With the holidays on the horizon, decorations are most definitely on our minds. This week’s Happy Friday reader JoAnna is breaking down her organization tips for seasonal decorations!
Do you stock up on presents, decorations, toiletries, and craft supplies during post-holiday sales? If you’re like me, it can be so easy to forget what you bought! And I hate for something to go to waste, no matter how much I paid for it.
So, I started taking photos of my clearance hauls and saving them in a dedicated photo album on my phone. This makes it easy to periodically review what you bought and remember to use them throughout the year!
If I bought something as a gift, I’ll take an individual photo and delete it once I’ve given it away. But for items I intend on using myself (like holiday decorations, candles, and craft supplies), I’ll arrange everything together and take one photo.
It can also be a good way to review what you scored last year as a reminder of potential hidden clearance deals to keep an eye out for this year!
JoAnna, what a clever hack! We love how organized you keep your supplies and how it acts as a guide for this year. Let us know any other organizational skills you have for uponlineing holiday deals, and here’s our post on how to create a gift closet.
