This Reader DIY’d Her Own Hanging Pumpkin Decor
Why buy when you can DIY?
Have you ever had a blank area of your home that you try to decorate countless times but nothing looks right? This week’s Happy Friday reader, Tricia, has, too, and she’s turned to DIY to solve the problem!
You don’t have to go through the trials and tribulations of searching for the perfect piece of decor to fill your space when you can envision it yourself and turn it into a reality. The best part of Tricia’s decoration is that it’s customizable and you can swap it depending on the season!
After having a blank wall in my bathroom for years, I finally did something about it today! I saw a pretty eucalyptus wall hanging online, but it wasn’t the right size for the wall.
I decided that I could make my own – and customize it, too! I decided that I’d like the eucalyptus for the spring and summer, but right now a fall theme would be great. I was able to go to Lowe’s and get a 2-foot copper tube for $4.
I found a box of pumpkins at Hobby Lobby for $6 (50% off). I then used some yarn to attach them. I also bought some holly leaves that I’m going to use for Christmas time. I might do Christmas ornaments if the holly leaf doesn’t turn out right. Lots of possibilities! I’m excited to finally have something on that wall!!
How fun is this simple DIY?! Shoutout to Tricia for giving us the awesome and creative idea of creating a decor item that we’ll be able to easily adapt depending on the season!
