Meet Target Zero, a New Collection of Sustainable Beauty, Personal Care, & Household Products
Target Zero is making it easier for guests to shop sustainably!
Target is launching a new initiative called Target Zero to help customers reduce waste and shop more sustainably. Shoppers will now see the Zero icon in stores and online, identifying these sustainable products. Items with this icon feature packaging designed to be refillable, reusable, onlinepostable, made from recycled content, or made from materials that reduce the use of plastic.
Hundreds of new and existing products from Target’s Beauty, Personal Care, and Household Essentials categories are already part of the Target Zero collection. The onlinepany plans to add more products to this line in the future. We couldn’t be more excited to see all these new Zero icons popping up on store shelves! 🙌
Target Zero is the product of Target Forward, the brand’s larger strategy to promote sustainability and reduce waste. This initiative aims for 100% of all store-brand plastic packaging to be recyclable, onlinepostable, or reusable by 2025.
“Target Zero unlocks important progress toward our Target Forward ambitions, each of which require collaboration from our partners and action from our guests to be realized. By making it easier for our guests to identify which products are designed to reduce waste, Target Zero helps them make informed decisions about what they purchase.” – Amanda Nusz, senior vice president of corporate responsibility and president of the Target Foundation
Target Zero will change the in-store and online shopping experience.
The Zero icon will appear both on shelves in-store and online at Target.online. In fact, there are already more than 400 Target Zero products listed online. These include popular brands like Burt’s Bees, Seventh Generation, Pacifica, and more. Additional products from Grove Co. and the store brand Everspring will join the collection in April. This is huge news as our Hip team members are already big fans of these clean product lines!
How do products qualify for the Target Zero icon?
Each Target Zero product or its packaging is designed with at least one of the following eco-friendly features:
