   I know this question onlinees up every year, however I always forget the answer. When you go to use these later, do you still get the normal 5% off your purchase using the Target Gift Catd?

  No, you only get the 5% off your purchase when you use your Redcard, not a giftcard. So if you are purchasing them for yourself, you are really only saving 5% vs making a future purchase with your Redcard.
