Ranch Seasoned Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
Carving pumpkins soon? 🎃
Make sure to save your pumpkin seeds and roast them up for a crunchy, salty, delicious fall snack! Pumpkin seeds are full of fiber, vitamins, and minerals and they taste incredible after being roasted and seasoned.
We love roasting pumpkin seeds at Halloween, and it’s a fun way to make the most of our family’s pumpkin-carving tradition!
To select a pumpkin for this recipe, you’ll want to choose one that’s likely to have lots of seeds inside.
How can you tell there are loads of seeds? Typically, larger pumpkins tend to contain more seeds than the smaller ones. But stay away from the pumpkins that feel heavier than they should for their size. Those are often more dense, with less open space on the inside and fewer seeds.
Hip tip for making Ranch Seasoned Roasted Pumpkin Seeds:
An easy way to separate the pulp from the seeds is to fill a large bowl with water and place the seeds inside. Let them soak while you’re busy carving pumpkins, and the pulp will start sinking to the bottom. You may have to stir the seeds with your hands to get the remaining pulp off. Finish by rinsing them in a colander.
Adding some ranch seasoning is such an easy way to jazz up the flavor of your roasted pumpkin seeds! Feel free to use a store-bought ranch seasoning to implement this idea, or use this homemade ranch seasoning recipe. It’s so good!
