Do you enjoy sweetened flavored coffee creamer in your hot or iced coffee?! Here’s a great way to switch up your routine and make it yourself without artificial additives and preservatives. You can control the sugar content and even customize  the type of cream or milk according to your nutritional needs.

These examples are not on the overly-sweet side, but if you like very sweet creamer just add your sweatener of choice to taste!

mixing cream and maple syrup to make diy coffee creamer

There are countless ways to make coffee creamer, but this is my favorite method!

I start by heating half-and-half with maple syrup as a sweetener and then add extracts or spices for flavor. Once the mixture has cooled, I’ll transfer it to a glass jar or container using a mini funnel, and store it in the fridge. I love this simple method because it lets me avoid the hydrogenated oils often found in store-bought creamers.

You can also use these to flavor oatmeal or in chia seed pudding. YUM!

Curious about my glass containers? I purchased my half and half from a local dairy sold in my local grocery store, and these are their bottles. Check out these 16 oz. glass creamer bottles from Amazon.online that look very similar.

Additional tips for making this homemade coffee creamer recipe:

  • If you are after a sweeter coffee creamer consider using sweetened condensed milk instead of maple syrup or brown sugar to taste.
  • For sugar-free, consider using a sugar substitute like monk fruit! if I am not using maple syrup, my go-to is a good monk fruit blend like Lankanto.
  • Instead of the half and half, you could onlinebine 1 cup milk and one cup heavy whipping cream together.
  • Instead of dairy, you could substitute almond milk or coconut milk for a dairy-free version.
  • Homemade coffee creamer will typically stay good in the fridge for up to a week. Be sure to shake it well before pouring.

You will be shocked at how the sugar cookie flavor does taste like a sugar cookie by using almond extract and salt! I think this is my current favorite.

The chai flavor tastes so warm and onlineforting too. Using vanilla paste for the classic vanilla flavor creamer is delclious Honestly, this is so fun to try making different flavors!

What can you use instead of half an half if you are lactose intolerant??
