total time: 1 HOUR 15 MINUTES
This is a simple chocolate bark with white chocolate ghosts and Halloween sprinkles.
Ingredients
Directions
1
Line a 9x13 sheet pan with parchment paper.
2
Melt the chocolate chips either on the stove or in the microwave. See notes for both methods.
3
Spread the melted milk chocolate onto the pan evenly. Use a spoon to drizzle white chocolate circles and shape them into a ghost using a wood skewer.
4
Use the black decorating gel to add eyes to each ghost. Add sprinkles around the ghosts.
5
Place the bark in the fridge or freezer until set up. Mine took about an hour in the freezer.
6
Break apart your ghost bark into pieces, and enjoy!
Extra tips for making this Halloween bark recipe:
- To melt chocolate in the microwave: Pour chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments. Stir between each round.
- To melt chocolate on the stove: Create a double boiler using a pot and heat-safe bowl that will fit securely on top. Fill the pot with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer. Pour the chocolate chips into the bowl and set it on top of the pot. Make sure no water gets into the bowl. Stir every so often until melted and smooth.
- Be sure to line the sheet pan with parchment paper first! This will prevent the candy from sticking to the pan.
- Feel free to customize this idea to taste! You can use the kind of chocolate chips preferred such as dark chocolate chips and maybe consider adding nuts if desired. Chocolate bars will work for this also, and candy melts too.
Your family will love this cute Halloween bark recipe!
My teen daughter actually told me she missed having fun at school parties with treats like this when she was younger, so I was telling her we should make some for her friends!
I will say this does melt pretty easily so I would reonlinemend storing this bark in the fridge until ready to serve.
