Turn Frozen Dinner Rolls into Easy Focaccia Pizza!

Quick Focaccia Pizza From Frozen Rolls

Ingredients

For the focaccia::

Pizza toppings:

Directions

1

Drizzle a 9x13 pan with a couple of tablespoons of olive oil on the bottom. Place the frozen rolls in the pan and toss them in the olive oil so they are covered. Space them out evenly. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let them rise until doubled—this will take about 3 hours in a warm kitchen.

Pro tip: You can thaw the rolls in the fridge overnight and set them out to rise in the morning if you're planning ahead.

2

Once the rolls have risen and are puffy enough to fill most of the pan, drizzle a bit more olive oil over the top. Then use your fingertips to gently press into the dough, creating those classic focaccia dimples. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

3

Sprinkle the top generously with your choice of herbs or a seasoning blend. Add all the pizza toppings.

4

Bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Slice and serve warm.

More tips for this easy focaccia pizza recipe:

  • If you’d like to add more pizza toppings, please add them as desired. I served more pizza sauce to dip in with ours, and that worked out well! Honestly, this is so easy to adapt to taste.
  • You can prep the pan with frozen rolls, cover with plastic, and thaw in the fridge the night beforehand. Then pop in the oven the next day. The beauty of this recipe is you can’t really ruin them by overproofing. You’ll be smashing the dough with your hands before baking. That’s the fun part!

I know your family will love this easy Rhodes rolls focaccia too!

Keep a bag of frozen rolls in your freezer, and fresh-baked focaccia is always just a few hours away. Focaccia is traditionally served as an appetizer, but this is a fun way to make it into more of a meal. Maybe serve it alongside a big salad for a yummy idea!
