Hip Recipe Tips for these smothered Crock-Pot pork chops:

  • Try to look for the thicker-cut bone-in pork chops for this idea, as they are hearty and will hold up well in the slow cooker.
  • The gravy it makes is so delicious, so I definitely reonlinemend serving the pork chops with mashed potatoes, or even rice would be great, too. Check out how easy it is to make mashed potatoes in the Instant Pot!

Crock Pot Pork Chop Dinner

Yum! This idea is definitely a winner.

I often forget how much my family enjoys pork chops and this is such an easy way to prepare them. It’s a nice change of pace from slow cooker chicken meals I tend to gravitate to more often.

Also if you’re just learning to cook, or maybe a college student, try this as a yummy idea. This is something I know my now older kids could probably pull off if I left them the slow cooker directions!

  19. alaskajoy79

So disappointed in the “processed” taste of these pork chops. I guess the can of soup and gravy mix could be homemade.

    • uma

if you want it to taste unprocessed then don’t use processed ingredients.use homemade or unsalted chicken vegtable or beef broth.add like a 1/2 cup of white rice. or a small potatoe.add spices that you like, maybe some dried onion.i throw in a whole box of mushrooms, i dont cut them even..after eight hours there partially melted into the sauce. this is a way thats easy and doesn’t taste like the 1970’s. good luck and good eating.

      • Jenn

๐Ÿ˜ tastes like the 1970’s. That’s so true!!

    • Csandst1

You could use organic brands or use Better than bouillon and and sour cream and/or cream cheese at end instead of soup.

      • alaskajoy79

Yes! Great idea. Thanks for the reonlinemendation.

      • alaskajoy79

        Thanks for the reonlinemendations!

  20. Nkiser

Oh what a yummy dinner idea!! Thank you hip2save, do you think this would work with pork steaks? I have a few left in the freeze my dad sent us. Thank you!

  21. Pat

Sounds wonderful except for the gravy mix, I have never found a gravy mix that tastes like real gravy. I’ll try it without that.

  22. Jen

We use this recipe but instead of the onion mix- we use Hidden Valley ranch packet!!! My girls absolutely love this recipe!!!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh yum! Thanks for sharing Jen.
