- Your caramel onions will need about an hour to set up in the fridge so keep that cooling time in mind when preparing these.

Raw onions dipped in melted caramel candies for a sweet and savory treat.
Ingredients
- 3-5 whole raw onions

- popsicle sticks or lolipop sticks
Directions
1
Clean and remove the outer papery skin off of the onions. Cut off the stems so they are round like an apple. Insert a popsicle stick or lollipop stick into each onion.
2
Unwrap each caramel and place them into a microwave-safe bowl or container.
3
Add a tablespoon of water. Microwave for a minute at a time and stir contents until the caramel is melted. For me, it took three minutes total, which was three rounds in the microwave.
4
Dip each onion in the caramel and lightly tap off the excess. Place them on a plate or sheet pan that is covered in parchment paper.
5
Refrigerate for an hour to set, and then enjoy your caramel onions! Yum!!
