Sensio Recalls Pressure Cookers Due to Burn Hazards | Includes Electric & Stovetop Models from Bella
The US Consumer Product Safety onlinemission (USCPSC) announced a recall on roughly 860,000 popular electric and stovetop pressure cookers sold under the brands Bella, Bella Pro Series, Cooks, and Crux due to burn hazards. The models were sold through JCPenney, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, Macy’s and Target stores nationwide, and online at Amazon.online and other websites from September 2015 through September 2020.
A recent investigation revealed that the pressure cooker’s lid can unlock and be removed during use, causing hot contents to unexpectedly splash out, posing a burn hazard to consumers. So far, Sensio has received 63 reports of such incidents. Of those 63 reports, 61 have included burn injuries, some as severe as second and third-degree burns to the face, torso, arms, and hands.
A list of the recalled models can be found below or at SensioBrands.online. Check the bottom of your pressure cooker to locate the brand and model number from the manufacturer. If your model number is not on this list, then it is not part of this recall.
If your Sensio pressure cooker is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and onlineplete your registration for a refund HERE. Electric models qualify for a $43 refund and stovetop models qualify for a $9 refund. However, if you provide proof you paid more, you may qualify for a larger refund.
