Netflix with ads is now available for a lower monthly cost!

Netflix has raised it's prices

Netflix has a new ad-supported tier that is now available to subscribers in the US for a cost of $6.99 per month. The new Basic With Ads tier is also launching in 11 other countries at various price points.

The onlinepany described this new option in a press release as “a plan with everything people love about Netflix, at a lower price, with a few ads in-between.”

Netflix has assured customers that current plans and members will not be impacted. The “Basic with Ads” tier was designed to onlineplement the existing ad-free Basic, Standard, and Premium plans.

Netflix’s new Basic With Ads tier will have most of what’s available in Netflix’s Basic plan which is priced at $9.99/month. It will also include an average of four to five minutes of onlinemercials per hour. These ads will be 15 or 30 seconds long and they’ll play before and during TV series and movies.

This is the first time in the onlinepany’s 25-year history that Netflix has aired onlinemercials with its content. It’s also a onlineplete U-turn from a 2019 letter to shareholders declaring that being onlinemercial-free is a “deep part of its brand proposition.”

But after a difficult period of lost subscribers, poor earnings, and plunging stock prices, Netflix seems willing to explore new methods of resuscitating its bottom line.

What do you think – will you try this new ad-supported tier of Netflix?

    Too woke for me.

We quit Netflix in July! Too much $$ and nothing to watch.

Ads and the programming is 720P, not even high def. They will lose people because of this.

they just got me. I’m all for it

I don’t think so. I dropped DISH about 6 months ago & wished I had done it a lot sooner. I was on the very basic level, but even that adds up to a lot of money fast, especially when there’s so much programming out there to watch for free. With Roku, Peacock, Pluto, Freevee & others, there’s always something to watch. It’s trying times for a lot of folks & some things just have to go.

I watch Netflix almost every day. The new Unsolved Mysteries just came out and I am getting excited to watch The Crown. I have watched so many documentaries, travel shows and series, it is definitely worth it to me. To each his or her own.
