Last year, select Kentucky McDonald’s locations began to sell Krispy Kreme donuts and customers went wild with excitement. After a successful test run, the two onlinepanies have decided to expand their partnership to locations across the country. The expansion will more than double Krispy Kreme’s exposure.

You can expect McDonald’s locations nationwide to sell Krispy Kreme donuts by 2026. These donuts will be delivered fresh to McDonald’s every single day and will be available to buy until the day’s supply runs out.

What flavor of Krispy Kreme donuts will McDonald’s offer?

There will be three different flavors of Krispy Kreme doughnuts available for purchase at McDonald’s locations:

  • Original Glazed Donut – The iconic glazed donut that made Krispy Kreme famous.
  • Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Donut – This yummy donut is similar to the original but dipped in chocolate icing and coated in sprinkles.
  • Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled Donut – A rich Kreme filling stuffed into a light, fluffy donut which is then dipped in chocolate icing.

These donuts will be delivered fresh each morning and will be available for purchase at McDonald’s in individual servings and packs of 6.

Keep an eye out for Krispy Kreme to appear at a McDonald’s near you. The rollout begins now!

I was in the test area for these last year. Here are my opinions. If you like
gas station donuts or Krispy Kreme in a box at the grocery store, you’ll like these. They won’t be like getting them fresh from KK. Not quite a day old taste, but close. Also, they tend to soak up the smell of McDonald’s so they have that greasy/meat smell flavor in them.

While it’s a good/different addition to the menu, they basically taste like what you’d think a McDonald’s donut would taste like with a slight flavor of Krispy Kreme.

I don’t see this mashup lasting long.

Thanks for taking a moment to share your honest thoughts on this new partnership, Elizabeth. Bummer to hear they weren’t as fresh as you’d hope they’d be. 🍩
