The popular grocery store chain has launched a digital farmer’s market with the help of Market Wagon, an online ordering and delivery service that connects consumers with local farmers and artisan food producers. As of February 2023, this innovative pilot program is now available to millions of Kroger customers in the cities of Atlanta (GA), Columbus (OH), and Knoxville (TN).
With Kroger’s online shopping, consumers in these areas can access well over 1,150 local food products. These products are then delivered right to customers’ doorsteps! What kind of products will I see at the Kroger farmers market?
When searching the Atlanta area farmers market, we saw items like non-GMO farm eggs, gallons of milk, and cuts of meat. There were plenty of ripe strawberries, crisp kale, and other produce. We also spotted items like fresh bouquets for Mother’s Day, homemade banana nut bread, and homemade sausage gravy. If you’re looking for pre-made meals, some vendors offered chicken and dumplings, pork tenderloin biscuits, and even chicken and mushroom savory pies.
The list of available products was impressive! We hope that if this pilot program goes well, the Market Wagon – Kroger farmers market will expand to include more cities soon!
