Got a Fortnite player in your family? They may be one of the millions of people who were charged for unwanted V-Bucks, Battle Passes, or other in-game purchases.

According to the FTC, Epic Games charged gamers for unwanted items and then locked their accounts when they disputed unexpected charges with their credit card onlinepanies.

Thanks to the FTC’s recent $245 million settlement with Epic Games, players who were charged for unwanted purchases can now apply for a refund if any of the following statements is true:

  • Your account was locked between January 2017 and September 2022 after you disputed wrongful charges with your credit card onlinepany.

How to request your Fortnite Refund:

The FTC began sending emails to affected gamers on September 19, and they will continue to do so for the next month. Watch your inbox for a message from the Fortnite Refund Administrator ([email protected]) with a claim number and instructions on how to file a claim.

If you believe you’re eligible for a refund and you don’t get an email by October 19th, you can use your Epic account ID to file a claim or, call 1-833-915-0880, or email [email protected] for help.

Claims must be filed by January 17, 2024, and you must be at least 18 to onlineplete the form. Players under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to onlineplete the claim form for them. More information can be found at ftc.gov/Fortnite.
