Have you ever procrastinated on sending a package because you just didn’t have time to go to the post office or carrier? You no longer have to worry thanks to a new service from DoorDash Package Pickup.
With this handy service, mailing your items just got easier. To use it, you must have a sealed and prepaid package that is properly labeled. Packages cannot weigh more than 30 pounds or be valued at more than $100. They also cannot contain any restricted or illegal materials.
If you meet the criteria, simply order a Dasher and they will onlinee to pick up your packages (5 maximum) and take them to FedEx, UPS, or USPS for you! Similar to food delivery, you’ll receive real-time updates. You can track your Dasher’s route from your porch to the shipping office. 🙌

How does DoorDash Package Pickup work?
Using the service is super easy. Just follow these 6 steps:
Order a Dasher. Head to to the DoorDash website or app and choose Packages from the menu. You can also use the search function to choose your preferred carrier – FexEx, UPS, or USPS. If you have multiple packages, create separate orders for each carrier. Also, if there is a fee involved, you’ll see it on this screen. It was $5 when we tested it for ourselves.
Choose your label type. Select which type of prepaid label you are using, either a QR code or a pre-printed label that is placed onto your package. If using a QR code, follow the app instructions to share the code with your Dasher.
Select your package type. Specify if you using a box, a mailing envelope, a soft poly bag, or a mailing tube. Note that the Package Pickup service is for packages only and not your regular postal mail.
Confirm you meet the package requirements. The screen will ask you to review and confirm that your package is eligible for the service.
Review and accept your order. Here is where you can choose your preference of contactless delivery or to personally hand the Dasher your package. You’ll also be able to confirm the fees, make a tip, and review your address. If everything checks out, make your purchase.
Track your Dasher. You’ll receive a notification when your package has successfully made it to the carrier! 🎉
Does DoorDash Package Pickup reimburse you for lost packages?
Yes. DoorDash will conduct an investigation on your lost package. If your package is truly lost, you are eligible for up to $100.
What if you need to cancel a delivery?
That’s A-Ok. If you want to cancel your package return, you’ll be fully refunded. It’s best to cancel before your Dasher picks up your package. If the Dasher is already en route to the carrier, you’ll need to contact Customer Support to coordinate a package retrieval.
