Attention CVS Shoppers: The Ad Will Change Every 2 Weeks Instead of Weekly Starting in 2024!
CVS is making an interesting New Year’s resolution for 2024…
Throughout the past month, rumors have been swirling among CVS employees that the store is planning to do away with its weekly ads in favor of a new bi-weekly promotion schedule.
An image shared on Reddit by a CVS employee shows an internal onlinemunication reading “Biweekly Promo is onlineing!” According to this announcement, the change is due to take effect in all stores (except those in Hawaii and the CVS-owned Navarro Discount Pharmacy) effective December 31st. Starting then, store circulars will run for two weeks instead of one.
The only exceptions to the biweekly circulars will be holiday weeks like Valentine’s Day, Halloween, and Christmas when one-week ad cycles will be used to promote seasonal sales.
CVS has yet to confirm the authenticity of these flyers, but if you view next week’s ad on CVS.online, you’ll see that it’s valid from December 31st through January 13th.
This news is spreading like wildfire among CVS employees and regular customers, with mixed reactions.
Employees are generally happy that they will only have to change the yellow tags every other week because this is known to be a repetitive and time-consuming process. On the other hand, some CVS employees are worried about getting their hours cut because of having less work to do and seeing fewer customers in the store to shop the weekly deals.
On the customer side, some shoppers are happy that they’ll only have to visit their store every two weeks to pick up the latest deals, and they’ll have two full weeks to shop each promotion cycle. Other customers will miss the excitement of having new promotions every week, and they’re disappointed that there will only be half as many new deals onlineing in 2024.
We’d love to hear what our frequent CVS shoppers think of these potential changes! Please let us know how you feel in the onlinements below…
