The Chick Fil A Cauliflower Sandwich

Introducing the new Chick-Fil-A Cauliflower Sandwich. 😋

Vegetarians and veggie lovers, get excited as Meatless Monday is about to get better! Chick-Fil-A just announced plans to test out a new “plant-forward” sandwich called the Chick-fil-A Cauliflower Sandwich. The creative idea was born when Chick-Fil-A customers expressed the desire for a vegetable entrée and now the restaurant has decided to deliver!

This innovative offering is four years in the making. Created in-house and inspired by the Chick-Fil-A Chicken Sandwich, Chick-Fil-A chefs diligently tested the ingredients to deliver the perfect recipe.

This new plant-forward sandwich features a “tender filet” that’s sliced from a real cauliflower and is marinated and seasoned with Chick-Fil-A’s signature seasoning. Then, it’s pressure-cooked to perfection, garnished with two dill pickles, and popped on top of a toasted, buttery bun. At first sight, it could fool you into thinking it IS the Chick-Fil-A Chicken Sandwich!

Where can you try a Chick-Fil-A Cauliflower Sandwich?

Chick Fil A Storefront

Starting on February 13, this new menu option will only be available in three different markets including Denver, Charleston, S.C., and North Carolina’s Greensboro-Triad region. If you live in one of these areas, contact your local restaurant or use the Chick-Fil-A App to see if the location near you is serving it.

Unfortunately, those locations aren’t located near me, and I have to say, I’m pretty jealous of those with the option to try this new sandwich!

What does “plant-forward” mean? Does the sandwich contain animal products?

Yes. Though a vegetable is the focus of the entrée, the sandwich does contain ingredients like milk and eggs. This makes it vegetarian and not vegan. That could be one reason why Chick-Fil-A has chosen to use the term “plant-forward” over the term “plant-based.”

One thing for vegetarians to know before ordering is that, at this time, Chick-Fil-A does not designate any vegetarian-only preparation spaces in their kitchen. Even so, it is exciting to see some diversity on the Chick-Fil-A menu.

I’d love to try it, but probably a cauliflower sandwich is too “woke” to be legal in Florida.

I wish CFA would do a keto option with a cauliflower breading on their chicken. That would be nice!
