Buying An Apple Watch For Christmas? Order Before Thursday Or You May Not Get The Chance…
Apple is pausing the sale of Apple Watches due to patent disputes. Here’s what you need to know!
This may be your last chance to buy that Apple Watch you wanted! 😱
Apple just announced that they are putting a temporary pause on the sale of two of their latest Apple Watches, the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.
Online sales for these two watches will pause at 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 21st and in-store sales will pause after Sunday.
The halt is due to a current intellectual property disagreement between Apple and Masimo over the Blood Oxygen feature found on the two models. It seems some of the onlineponents on the watches may violate existing patents.
The onlineplaint caused the International Trade onlinemission to slap Apple with a sales ban back in October. This ruling has been in the review period for just about 2 months and it will go into effect after December 25th. To err on the side of caution, Apple is preemptively halting the sale of its products starting on Thursday.
If you’ve already bought these watches, you should not have any issues with their functionality. According to news reports, Apple hopes to fight the ruling in order to make these watches available to customers in the future.
If you were planning on buying one of these Apple Watches as a Christmas present, you’ll want to place your order before the pause begins.
