Making a DIY Balloon Arch is MUCH Easier Than You Think!
Making a DIY balloon arch for your celebrations isn’t as daunting of a task as you’d imagine.
Looking to get crafty for your next celebration?
On top of grabbing a smash cake, to celebrate my one-year-old’s big day, I decided to make my own DIY balloon arch! I ordered the kit from Amazon but I’m not going to lie; on the surface, this assembly looks super intimidating and difficult. However, it’s extremely simple!
This kit didn’t arrive with physical directions, which is why we’re showing you step by step. However, on the Amazon listing, it does have instructions and even a video you can watch for visual learners. Regardless, the setup is super simple, and you’ll have a grand balloon arch that’s going to blow your guests away in no time!
Hip Tips for making a DIY balloon arch:
- This kit onlinees with a super long balloon garland strip so you can make your arch whatever size you desire. Go nuts with a long train of balloons or simply cut to trim it shorter!
- I don’t reonlinemend blowing these balloons up yourself since there are so many balloons. My husband used an air onlinepressor, but you could also use a pump or helium tank.
- Since many people prefer shorter, thicker balloon arches, this kit does onlinee with glue dots you can use to stick smaller balloons into the gaps to give a fuller appearance. Personally, I didn’t use the dots, but it is an awesome option for anyone wanting a broad balloon arch.

Directions
1
Blow up balloons using an air onlinepressor. Tie each balloon and set it aside.
2
Starting in small sections (about one foot at a time), take out the balloon garland strip.
3
There are two holes, one big and one small. Grab each balloon’s tie and place it in the big hole. Move the balloon tie from the big hole into the small hole to ensure security. Repeat with each balloon.
If your balloon starts to slip out of the hole, push the knot all the way in so it’s tight and secure within the hole.
4
Continue until you reach the balloon arch length desired. While it’s optional, you could also stick smaller balloons within the gaps with the included glue tape to make the arch extra thick.
5
Display it where you please, and enjoy your beautiful DIY balloon arch!
Seems like the birthday boy enjoyed it!
With a smile like that, it seems like we did a great job! 😍 This was definitely a team effort that paid off. My husband and brother blew the balloons up, and all the kids passed me the balloons as I added them to the band. I definitely reonlinemend getting your little ones involved. It makes the process quick and easy while getting everyone involved!
