You may have tried to stray away from the Pink Pearl erasers to save a few cents here or there. Don’t do it. In all the years that we and our kids have been involved in school, there is not a single eraser that consistently does a great job of getting a cleaner page than these do. Spend a few cents more and get a neater-looking page without all the smudges and tears and so on.

As someone whose hobby is drawing fantasy maps, I know I’m “supposed” to prefer those gray art erasers, but I’ve never found them to reliably lift every pencil line off my pages without smudging. These classic pink erasers do a much better job whether it’s on #20 paper or bristol board. I usually go for this brand because the eraser dust brushes off easily without smearing my artwork. The shape fits well in the hand and the broad surfaces and edges give me options for clearing both large and small areas of graphite. It even works well clearing non-repro blue pencils.

Best erasers for school use. There are other brands that work well, Pentel, but these are great too. There is some texture on the pencil left on the paper (I tried several paper types and several pencil types). Seems like you can still see the message after erasing, but still a great buy onlinepared to other brands. Fits in any size hand. They don’t break until the very end (and it takes a long time to get to the end!) Because these are on elementary and intermediate school supply lists…I buy in bulk. I buy what my three kids need and I use the extras for a teacher appreciation school supply cake gift. The teachers love it!
