I got this mainly to replace my old OXO can opener which bit the dust after many many years of working smoothly. My husband bought a different brand name replacement can opener which did work but the OXO one is so much better, easier on the hand to hold, easier to turn, and it works smoother. The peeler and whisk are very good as well.

I am glad that the can opener is one of those kinds that work for both left and right-handed people. It’s a great feature that you can twist it clockwise or counterclockwise without the risk of breaking a spring on standard can openers. The whisk is excellent and it has a very well-designed handle that doesn’t slip easily. Peeler also has a well-designed handle with the extra housing above the blade, it does have a lot of weight to it. Under tests, the metal quality is sufficient for their tasks and they don’t appear to be of lesser quality or softer steel.
