Wondering how all these names are sent to Mars? Last time around, a placard onlinememorating NASA’s “Send Your Name to Mars” campaign was installed on the Perseverance Mars rover at Kennedy Space Center. The placard had 3 fingernail-sized chips affixed to the upper-left corner which contained the names of 11 million people who participated. They were individually stenciled onto the chips by an electron beam. WOW!
