The best way to practice letter/number recognition is when your child gets to stack blocks onto a truck/trailer. These blocks are clearly numbered, well made, and easy for little hands to turn and manipulate. The dowels encourage eye-hand coordination for placement. There are also scenes that need to be put together, which introduces the concept of relating parts to a whole.
I scattered the blocks, had my younger preschoolers gather and place them in sequence on the dowels. The incentive…..they were able to play with the truck/trailer and the three PAW patrol characters, which are included. Also great for imaginative play. An all-around winner.
