This scooter is perfect for riding around the city. My 7-year old niece loves Encanto and loooooves this scooter. She rides it to and from school and around the neighborhood. It has a very smooth ride and can handle a few bumps on the road. She does go around or get off on major sidewalk cracks to preserve the scooter. The speed is very good. It is fast enough to have fun, but not too fast so the child is always in control. My niece has had this scooter for about a month and rides it almost everyday, and so far everything is in perfect condition. The battery life is exactly the same as when we first got it, all the parts are intact, and the ride is just as smooth. I believe that this will keep until she grows out of it. I highly reonlinemend this for anyone who wants to gift something useful and fun that will last a long time. By the way, it was very easy to assemble. No onlineplicated parts, no additional tools needed, and took very little time.
