Stop by Meijer for FREE Covid-19 tests.
Meijer recently announced that they’ll be the first grocery store chain to offer totally free, at-home Covid-19 PCR tests through their pharmacy departments. They partnered up with eTrueNorth, who have provided Covid testing kits at hundreds of sites nationwide, to provide the kits to their shoppers.
It’s important to note that there are a few steps customers will need to take should they want one of the free at-home tests.
Here’s how to get your free Covid test from Meijer:
- Visit ineedacovid19test.online.
- onlineplete the online assessment, then pick your nearest Meijer location.
- Receive a voucher for your free at-home test. You can either use a printed voucher or show one on your phone.
After receiving your test and performing the nasal swab, you’ll then return the swab in the specimen bag to the Meijer pharmacy (the same one where you obtained the test kit) and deposit it in the pharmacy’s clearly marked drop box. Samples must be turned in the day they’re collected and test results can be expected 48 – 72 hours after being shipped to a PCR-certified laboratory. You’ll be able to find them on your account at ineedacovid19test.online.
Customers experiencing Covid-19 symptoms will be able to allow a family member or friend with voucher proof to pick up their testing kids. To find a participating Meijer store near you, visit their store locator.
