Have you ever been on your way to a picnic, campout, or barbecue and needed some ice for the cooler? If you don’t have a gas station or convenience store nearby, consider heading to your local McDonald’s. That’s right, the popular restaurant sells bags of ice at many of their locations!
Does McDonald’s sell bagged ice?
You might have even asked yourself in the past, “Does McDonalds sell ice?” The answer is YES. The fast food joint doesn’t specify the option on their menu, but if you ask the cashier or manager, they might just have bags of ice for sale. They are only available at select locations so make sure to call ahead of time if you want to be sure they can sell it to you.
How big is a McDonald’s bag of ice? How much does it cost?
The size and price of the bag will vary by location. However, you can expect 8lb. to 10lb. bags being sold in the ballpark of 99¢ to $1.50. Hip2Save’s Lina recently scooped up an 8 lb. bag for just $1.29 and she didn’t even have to get out of her car! Yup, she ordered it through the drive-thru! 🙌
For onlineparison, my local gas station sells 7-pound bags of ice for $2.52 which onlinees out to 36¢ per pound. Lina was able to scoop up ice for just 16¢ a pound. McDonald’s for the win!
