Having a tasty traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings that you didn’t have to prep is certainly something to be grateful for! On trend with just about everything else this year, the price has gone up quite a bit since last year and you can expect to pay up to $3.99 per lb.
Prices will depend on the final weight but we spotted meals between $37-$39 which is still a small price to pay for yummy convenience, easy cleanup, and less time in the kitchen means more time to spend with your family.
Kirkland’s Signature turkey dinner includes one 1/2 bone-in raw turkey breast, herbed stuffing, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, buttered green beans and cranberry sauce. Plus, according to our readers, there’s minimal work required to get these heat-and-eat meals ready to be devoured by the family.
HIP TIP: The cooking instructions are printed on the tag on the outer container lid. Be sure to hang onto those if need to remove the meal when packing it in your fridge.
We also spotted the return of their family-sized prepared side dishes including regular and sweet mashed potatoes These are a great time-saving option if you’re cooking up your own dinner but want a little help with the side dishes.
You can opt for creamy Yukon Gold mashed potatoes with butter and parsley garnish for $1.99 per lb and savory mashed sweet potatoes with butter for $2.49 per lb. Each of these generously portioned sides weighs in at just over 5lbs to put them in the $10-$13 range, respectively.
One Hip reader had a wonderful experience with this meal…
“I was a bit skeptical because some of Costco’s heat-and-serve stuff can be too salty, but I was pleasantly surprised by their Thanksgiving kit. It was all-inclusive and perfectly seasoned – just as good as homemade, and very easy to prepare. The turkey breast (which does need to be baked) was tender and juicy, and the sides were all very good. We got two full meals for the three of us out of this kit, which was $26 and change, so it’s also an excellent value.”
