My daughter started reading at 4, and I bought this set because I loved Amelia Bedelia as a child and I was looking for something that would be appropriate for her. I was surprised that this was so different from the original, but it’s a great series. The stories are well-written and wholesome. We read these books together and my daughter (now 5) loves to read them by herself. They’re a great addition to our home library.
