Our team are big fans of this handy cleaning tool…

Wow okay, now I understand why this cleaning tool is super popular. It is so satisfying to use and super handy for hard-to-clean areas. If you have dirt or grime anywhere that is tough to clean try one of these! I tested it in hard-to-clean areas like my stovetop, backsplash tile, microwave, baseboards, and toilet. It immediately releases dirt and grime so you can wipe it clean. It also has a handy squeegee tool for windows and glass!

I am honestly super impressed! Easy to set up and use out of the box too. onlinees with various attachments and works great! – Hip Sidekick, Lina

I bought it a while ago and it’s been sitting in the box since this past weekend because I was a bit intimidated by the process. It’s definitely easy to use though and I was randomly cleaning so many things!

The place I appreciated the most was my trash can lid! It’s white, and I wipe the inside down all the time, but it still seems to get gross, and the cracks and crevices are hard to clean. Our pup loves the trash, so a lid is non-negotiable. Anyway, it worked SO quickly and well, and now I’m excited to find even more uses around the house for it! Up next are my sliding doors! – Hip Sidekick, Jessica T.

There was a recall for this product, and the consumers were requested to cut the cord off the steamer. I received the refund once I submitted the proof of the cord. Please research before purchasing such steamers, as there are dangers associated with them, leading to severe burning.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and concern! Safety is so important, and we really appreciate you bringing this up. ❀️ Just to clarify, the previous Bissell recall only applies to units sold between August 2008 and May 2024, so the model we featured is different. Here’s a link with more details if you’d like to take a look: Bissell Steam Shot Recall. Hope this helps!

I have one of the ones recalled and I loved it until I got burnt from the steam when cleaning. I want to return it for another. But everything looks the same. Have they mentioned what makes it different?

        • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Great question, Sylvia! I spoke with an agent at BISSELL about this, and they have addressed the safety concerns raised in the recall. This newer model of the OmniShot is considered safe to use, thanks to several updates:

          • Screw-to-Close Cap: The new model features a screw-to-close cap with a pressure indicator and locking mechanism, ensuring the cap can’t be removed while pressurized.
          • Hose Accessory: The hose now includes an improved locking latch to prevent accidental removal during use.
          • Seal & Leaking Improvement: Enhancements to the seals and design significantly reduce the risk of steam escaping from the boiler near the trigger/handle.
          • Trigger Safety Feature: A new safety trigger feature has been added to prevent unintentional trigger depression.

Additionally, all BISSELL products, including the new OmniShot, meet required appliance safety standards with third-party verification. Hope that helps! 😊

Has anyone use this for their shower? It is shower only, no tub and it is fiberglass.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Carol! I have the older (recalled) version of this from last year and although I haven’t tried it in my shower, I do have an all-in-one fiberglass tub/shower onlinebo and wouldn’t be afraid to use it there – maybe just do a “test spot” first. I’ve used it on everything from glass, metal, and plastic surfaces and haven’t had issues with any surface yet. πŸ™Œβ€οΈ Hoping this might be helpful!

      • Carol Potts

Thank you! I may have to try it. I hate cleaning the shower and my dogs leave nose prints on my sliding glass door and front door side windows. It sticks like glue. πŸ˜†

        • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

You’re so welonlinee! πŸ₯° Hoping it works great for those nose prints! πŸ™ƒπŸΎ

  3. Robin(hip)

It’s great. Small and light weight. Long cord, and added bonus, there is a little red popup on the top to tell ya the steam is ready. For the price you can’t go wrong

  5. michelle

can you steam clothes with this as well?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Yes! It appears so!πŸ™Œ They do show an example of that in the video noted within the details of the product page if that might be helpful to watch! πŸ’ž
