Here are some of the best things to buy at Walmart this month according to our team:
1. Emily bought these $5 candles with wood wicks and says she plans to buy even more.
If you’re looking to bring some festive, cozy vibes into your home, our Hip Sidekick, Emily, says these candles are a must-have! They’re currently just $5 so she grabbed all of them and said it was difficult choosing a favorite! She noted the scents are rich yet subtle – not too overpowering like Bath & Body Works can tend to be and the wood wick adds a delightful crackle that makes everything feel extra snug. The best part? The labels peel off effortlessly with no residue, keeping the jars looking clean and simple for repurposing time and time again.
2. Misty grabbed a couple of packs of these versatile pullovers for under $12 per pair.
If you’re looking for the perfect lightweight sweater, you’ve got to check out these pullovers from Walmart’s Time & True line. Our Hip sidekick, Misty, said they feel more like a super-soft, thin sweater than a basic top. You’ll want to live in them! With how mild the weather stays where she lives she said these are exactly the kind of cozy pieces you can wear all the time. She noted the material is unbelievably soft, and the fit is generous so if you’re not into the oversized look, she’d reonlinemend sizing down.
Looking for something heavier? Misty said she owns a few of these Walmart crewneck sweaters which have a cozy fleece lining and feel more like an actual sweatshirt.
3. Alli found some maternity clearance pieces in her local Walmart.
Alli said she has been living in this jumpsuit and it is so onlinefortable and versatile. With her growing baby bump, this outfit has made it so simple to get ready and she stays super onlinefy too. She did note that she was able to score this jumpsuit for way less in-store, so she definitely reonlinemends heading in to see if it’s available at yours before buying it online.
If you’re shopping around for more maternity clothes, Alli was also able to score these maternity jeans in her store for just $3! Although they’re sold out online, she definitely reonlinemends keeping an eye out in-store.
4. Chelsey’s kids have been loving their $5 Halloween kids costumes.
If you don’t follow Hip2Save on Instagram you may have missed Chelsey’s adorable reel where her kids showed off some of their new $5 Halloween costumes from Walmart. While they wait for Halloween they’ve made for some fun dress-up clothes too. Anyone who has shopped for a Halloween costume before knows these prices are unbeatable.
There are multiple adorable styles to choose from like angels, pirates, ninjas, and more! And we likely don’t need to convince you to run and add them to your cart after hearing the price. 😉

5. I grabbed some taper candles and holders to do an easy Halloween DIY.
- Better Homes & Garden Black Cast Iron Taper Candle Holder – $7.96
- Mainstays Unscented Taper Candles – $2.96 (currently OOS)
This DIY ghost candle craft is so simple, it’s almost scary! When I saw it I knew I had to make them, so I grabbed some taper candles and holders from Walmart so the craft would not just be easy but affordable too. Although my exact candles are sold out, you can grab plenty of other white taper candles at Walmart.

6. Lina bought a few trendy pieces to create an affordable tablescape.
- Way to Celebrate White Fabric Pumpkin Pillow – $8.97 (regularly $11.97)
- Better Homes & Gardens Pumpkin Jar Candle – $10.87
- Better Homes & Gardens 8″ Wide Marble Glass Pumpkin – $14.98
Lina purchased many pieces from Walmart this month to create an affordable fall tablescape. The results were stunning, and while a handful of the items she shared in her Walmart fall decor post are now sold out. You can still skip the three I linked above.
7. Collin’s shacket from Walmart was the top wardrobe seller for a few weeks in a row so it’s worth sharing again.
Time and Tru Rib Hooded Shacket – $19.98
Collin loves this hooded jacket from Walmart and it’s just under $20! We think it’s the perfect piece to add to your wardrobe for fall and winter and sizes are selling out fast so now’s the time to grab one if you haven’t yet!
8. Monica bought this super fun advent calendar for her daughter.
NeeDoh Advent Calendar – $20
Monica can’t stop raving about this advent calendar and thinks it’s appropriate for kids of all ages. In fact, we’re not totally convinced she didn’t buy it for herself. 😉 It has 24 days and a squish behind every door so she definitely feels like it’s such a great value for the uniqueness and fun it provides. She also noted that this is one of the best things to buy at Walmart since it has already sold out once so be sure to grab it ASAP!
