Amazon is Rumored to be Planning a SECOND Prime Day Deal Event for Fall 2022!
A second Prime Day is reportedly onlineing this fall! Here’s what we know about the Amazon Prime Fall Deal Event so far…
If you are excited for Prime Day, this news is for you! As Amazon gears up for Prime Day 2022 on July 12th and 13th, CNBC is reporting that the onlinepany is already planning a second sale for Prime members during the fourth quarter of 2022!
Called the Amazon Prime Fall Deal Event, it will mark the first time in the onlinepany’s history that two sales of this kind were held in the same year. Yes, please!
While Amazon hasn’t publicly acknowledged any plans for a second Prime Day-style shopping event in 2022, CNBC has obtained documentation that suggests Prime Day #2 is more than just a rumor. Apparently, some third-party sellers have already received notice of a “Prime Fall” deal event via Seller Central (Amazon’s internal seller portal)!
While the exact dates weren’t shared with the merchants yet, CNBC viewed a notice asking sellers to submit their Lightning Deals for this event by July 22nd. Another message seen by Business Insider had a deadline of September 2nd.
Although nothing has been confirmed by Amazon yet, invited sellers are speculating that the Prime Fall Deal Event will happen in October.
What’s in store for another Prime Day?
Prime Day historically has some of the hottest deals you can score, outside of Black Friday! This means we can hope to see serious discounts on household goods, small appliances, toys, food, and so much more!
While the ‘official’ Prime Day is just around the corner, we’re hopeful that a second round of Prime Day deals will offer even more awesome deals!
This could also mean another opportunity to earn free Amazon credits towards your purchases!
Why would Amazon plan a second Prime Day deal event for the fall?
Based on other trends we’re seeing in the world of retail right now, Amazon and its sellers are probably also dealing with other consequences of a precarious economy. As customers struggle under the weight of crushing inflation, the bullwhip effect has led to full warehouses and excess inventory across a number of categories.
A big sale in the fall could help to clear some much-needed space in warehouses for holiday merchandise before the Christmas shopping season begins – and that means some HUGE discounts for shoppers! This could also be a great way to get a jump start on holiday shopping!
We’re watching this situation closely and will keep you posted on any and all new developments regarding the Amazon Prime Fall Deal Event!
