I purchased the small size for my 11-year-old and it fits perfectly. Not too tight that it’s pulling at the ears but definitely not leaving gaps. Material is thick but stretchy. Great masks. Perfect for my 4-year-old to wear to preschool each day. He loves them and they seem to be onlinefortable for him. Exactly what I was looking for. They’re really well-designed and shaped so that the edges fit securely against his face, but the material doesn’t actually touch his nose or mouth. He feels like these masks have more “breathing room” inside than the pleated masks or neck gaiters that we’ve tried. The back-of-the-neck elastic is an awesome feature too.
I noticed that some of the reviewers have onlineplained that the mask is too small for adults, but the Adult S/M is a perfect fit for my 10-year-old, who is big for his age. Hip tips to make mask-wearing easier for your kids:
- Show your child the proper way to put on and remove a mask, and have them practice doing it independently if they’ll need to know how to do it themselves at school or anywhere else where you won’t be able to assist them.
- If your child is bothered by the feeling of wearing ear loops all day long, try using one of these ear-savers to take the pressure off their ears.
- If your child’s mask doesn’t have over-the-head or behind-the-neck elastic straps, consider attaching it to a lanyard. This way they don’t need to set their mask down and risk losing it or getting it dirty while they’re taking a “mask break” or eating lunch.
- Consider packing an extra mask or two in your child’s backpack, as masks should be changed when they beonlinee wet or soiled. Of course, you can buy cases made just for masks these days, but a simple Ziploc bag or paper bag will work too. Just make sure that your child knows to keep their dirty masks separate from their clean ones.
