I was a little disappointed when I first saw him because I didn’t really like the way the mouths look on him. To me I was kind of disappointed that he didn’t look as cute as the original. Well then I flipped the switch at the bottom of his left foot and that’s when the real fun began!! All of the funny things he says more than makes up for how his mouth looks. I mean I went from disappointment to chuckling with glee in an instant. He is FUNNY!!
Overall, yes this is a fun toy and reminds me of my own Mr Potato Head growing up. Our little one likes to dance to the songs and the expressions are funny and all of the kids love playing with this. The little one will disassemble and re-assemble over and and over again.
Playskool always makes a quality product so I ordered this for my niece. This keeps her busy for long periods of time as she creates silly faces and endlessly watches and listens to his lips moving and funny sayings/songs. It is well made and has lots of pieces to allow her to be creative.
I grew up with a Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head. We had a variety of parts for that toy. This is a more updated version of the classic toy. The two mouths move using a magnet which I think is cool yet still keeps the toy simple. They don’t have the onlinepartment in the back to store parts like the classic toy did.
