  This is a good deal. If you have a Smiths nearby, they usually have a coupon on their app for 50% off Halloween candy so you could wait for that as well.

   I wish when they have 1 day cartwheels like this, that they were available all week but maybe as a one time use. So that way you could pick the day you want to use it. I would love to take advantage of this deal but I wouldn’t be able to until Friday.

  I believe you are correct – card isn’t charged until you pick up. Just in case you don’t pick it up and they cancel it, they don’t want to have to refund – so they don’t charge until you pick up. I am not sure, however, if the rules are different if you are using a Red debit vs a Red credit.

  I have always been charged as soon as the target employee puts it in the system that it’s ready for pickup. This is from the target website.

  When will I be charged for my Order Pickup order?

  We’ll charge your method of payment when your order has been picked up and placed on hold for you. We may put an authorization hold on your debit/credit card when you place your order, which should be removed by your card-issuing bank once your card has been charged. Please note that Target doesn’t control how long authorization holds stay on your account. You may call your card-issuing bank if you have further questions.

    Does anyone know what other good candy deals may onlinee around at Target? I can’t always find the onlinebos that our whole family likes, so sometimes I have to buy individual bags, which obviously aren’t included in this 40% sale for $15.99 or $19.99 bags. Should I throw them in my cart today with one of the onlinebo bags, or will there maybe be a general 25% off or B1G1 50% off or something that I should wait for? Thanks

  I personally wish that I could get a Skittles only mix bag! Red bags and purple bags – done! The orange bag “cauldron” flavors aren’t bad, but I don’t like the green bag sour ones. Seems like the kids go for Skittles over Starburst so I always have a lot of those leftover. Not onlineplaining, I like Starburst too, but just wishing for a Skittles onlinebo!! I know that at some point all sizes and types of candy will usually go 25% off in Cartwheel, and by then there has normally been a paper coupon or two available, so you can onlinebine there and get a pretty decent deal for stuff you love. I did that one year too.

    If you place an order over $95, you will get a $10 Target Gift card via email after you pick up your order. I tried it with the halloween candy and other food items (beef jerkey, oreos) totaling over $95 (before the 40% Cartwheel discount) and the $10 gift card showed up. Not sure if it will work with non-food items.

    So glad we could order online for in-store pickup and get the Cartwheel discount. I don’t remember that being offered in previous years. I ordered my candy this morning, and went to get it after work. The shelves were pretty empty by that point so I am glad this worked!
