   Just an FYI – these pencils are NOT the presharpened ones like pictured. Still great pencils – but this last minute mom pays a little extra to have them pre-sharpened. No one wants to sharpen 96 pencils 10 minutes or burn up a pencil sharpener.

  Ha ha I’m glad you said that. YES that is a lot of pencils to sharpen. I got this deal a while back and thankfully my son only needs 12 “presharpened” pencils, so I am going to get my sharpener out. But if more were needed we’d have to buy the presharpened. Although I do really wish they did not specify presharpened on the supply list. When I was a kid we had to line up at the sharpener on the wall at the front of the room.

   Hi! From what I see on the list you’re referring to, you reonlinemend these at $.08 each. Staples seems to have the better deal now at $.98 for 12 ($.08 each), I wonder how hard they are going to be to find, though!

  Hi, these were actually listed as $.97 (not $.98) under ‘Staples Highlights’ in the recent post where you were onlineparing all the Back to School supply deals. I’m not sure if these prices were ever listed online, is that sale now over?

  Just last week I bought a new electric pencil sharpener after using a manual one for a couple years. The manual one worked only OK,,, it seemed like every time I used it there was some little problem with it. It was one of those where you push down the lever and it sticks to the counter.   I realize this is a bit pricier than other sharpeners, but it has good reviews and is pretty quiet when sharpening. I used it to sharpen 6 dozen pencils (the ones in this post) and had zero issues so far. I work at a school and a lot of teachers use this sharpener, so it can handle high volume 🙂
