   They increased the prices for this “sale”. I purchased some shoes that were $59.97 a few weeks ago. I went to see if there were still any left so they I could get them cheaper, but they’re now marked as $89.97!! Even with the 25% discount, they are more expensive now. Buyer beware!

   Sometimes there are amazing deals. A lot of these are items that didn’t sell at nordstrom. I am an employee at Nordstrom. So the best thing you can do & look & see if these are regular Nordstrom brands. Things like something navy, ted baker, paul green etc. But if it’s made for rack crap brands like Joe fresh not worth it. I got a madewell dress for $25 (b4 my discount), Michael Kors sandals that are at macy’s for $60 for $40…good deals 2 be had but you have to check. There are good, high quality brands that will last for years & then thrown in there are crap brands.

  I found a Tory Burch Wallet today….but the tag says altered or refinished. What does that mean?? Is it real Tory Burch? It was on sale for $59.97 (Original $178.00) TIA

  Altered or refinished means it was bought at the “regular” Nordstrom store, used and returned. They do that with accessories and shoes. They clean the items and they are like new. They then send them to the Rack. With clothing, usually they are altered ( hemmed, taken in, etc.) and the customer didn’t like the alteration. They can’t put it back out as new, so they “Rack” it!

   Does anyone know if TOMS makes their shoes different now? The last pair I bought had a good quality insert stitched in at the arch and all around the border. Lately I visited a Nordstrom Rack & noticed the inserts on the TOMS did not have the stitching anymore & I thought to myself, are these fake? Would they even be allowed to sell knock offs? I noticed this same quality at Ross, but not at the Journey’s store.
