Uh Oh—Dozens of Hummus Products Recalled Due To Potential Listeria Contamination

Pita Pal Foods, LLC announced a recall of 89 different hummus products due to a possible health risk concerning a Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
While it was discovered during an FDA inspection in the manufacturing facility (meaning not in a finished tub of hummus), the onlinepany made a voluntary recall to protect customers from any exposure to the tainted product.
Some brands affected include Harris Teeter, Latana, Pita Pal, Reasor’s, Schnucks, & 7-Select. If you’ve recently purchased hummus products and have them on hand, check out the onlineplete list of recalled packages so you don’t ingest any of the harmful spread.
If you have a hummus product within the specified “use by” dates, return it to the original place of purchase for a full refund.
