Pita Pal Foods, LLC announced a recall of 89 different hummus products due to a possible health risk concerning a Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

While it was discovered during an FDA inspection in the manufacturing facility (meaning not in a finished tub of hummus), the onlinepany made a voluntary recall to protect customers from any exposure to the tainted product.

Some brands affected include Harris Teeter, Latana, Pita Pal, Reasor’s, Schnucks, & 7-Select. If you’ve recently purchased hummus products and have them on hand, check out the onlineplete list of recalled packages so you don’t ingest any of the harmful spread.

Do they sell this brand at Aldi’s? Anyone know? I have 3 tubs from Aldis unopened in the fridge.

I really like hummus but I stopped purchasing it several years ago due to all the recalls. Now I get it at my local middle-eastern restaurant where it’s made fresh in-house.
