This glorious assortment of food was all scored for FREE by Hip2Save reader, Angela. Check out how she did it!

So my daughter and I decided to gather together all my birthday coupons and spend an hour redeeming them. Just by signing up for birthday clubs at your favorite restaurants, they’ll often send you an email with a freebie coupon.

Most places even allow you to order online and just run in to pick it up! We brought everything home and had a mini sampler buffet for dinner that night. Each item here was totally free, no purchase required.

I got my Chili’s Reward last month on the 13th. I didn’t redeem but the offer states that a minimum spend of $5 is required and it cannot be part of the 3 for $10, 2 for $25, or Bottomless Chips.

This was my pic and chili’s didn’t require any purchase. I ordered the skillet cookie online and came to the curbside pickup. They scanned the coupon and I was good to go!

This is my birthday month. So far I’ve gotten emails from CVS (free nail polish), Moe’s (free burrito), Ulta (free Lanonlinee mascara), Krispy Kreme (free donut & coffee), and Dunkin Donuts (free coffee). All of these freebies I’ve learned through Hip2Save. Thanks so much 🙂

To be honest Liz & Em, I set up the account so long ago. Don’t remember if I added my birthday, but apparently I did.

FYI, for security reasons, every online account I set up, I use a “fake” birthday (using the correct month but an incorrect day). Just an extra step I take due to so many online hackers.

I usually take the day of my birthday off and spend a day turning in a lot of my freebies. This year besides Starbucks, Panera, Moe’s, Red Robin, Firehouse, Denny’s and Ruby Tuesday’s, I got Dunkin’, Best Buy, Sears, Sephora, Ulta, Lane Bryant and Kohl’s. I still have a few to turn in (Chipotle and Anderson’s being a couple).

ask around at the local chains/restaurants in your area. Or go online to their websites to sign up. Some offer text message options or have an app. I’ve got a few restaurants that don’t advertise BDay freebies, but if you ask, they will onlinep an appetizer or entree (up to a certain amount). I was surprised to get several 1/2 offers in June since it was 1/2 way til my birthday (Dec)! I thought that was pretty cool!

I stopped by Sweet Tomatoes for my free birthday meal this week. You have to sign up for emails and they send a coupon out around your birthday. No other purchase necessary.

I give different birthdays whenever I sign up for something because I could never redeem them all at once. And now for my kids, I give them the same birthday. So for example, when one gets a free cookies from Barnes and noble for his birthday, so does the other!

Once I start getting birthday freebie emails i’ll make a list of the items/expiration date (since a lot of places are good for a couple of weeks.) That way I can be sure I don’t forget the ones I really want and can spread the fun around.

Red Robin does not have to be a burger. You can get a chicken sandwich or salad. Just ask your server for other options!
I like the Starbucks free drink/item. I miss the postcard days of being able to use it for a longer time period. Now it’s an email with very limited time restrictions. I don’t live near a Starbucks so I always call for an extension of time to use it. They have always aconlinemodated me!

Just had my b-day this week: 2 free car washes– local businesses, Starbucks coffee, Panera coffee/tea/soda, Dunkin any beverage, Baskin Robbins scoop of ice cream, Nothing Bundt Cakes bundtlet, local hamburger sit-down restaurant free 1/2 lb burger, $5 each at Famous Footwear and DSW, plus $10 at Shoe Carnival, Sonic small classic shake , Golden Corral B1G1 buffet, CVS Poparrazzi nail polish, 25% discount for 1 day Goodwill, Jersey Mikes Subs regular sub and a drink, Denny’s Grand Slam, Ulta mascara (although I can’t use mascara due to eye irritaion, so I asked if they could substitute and got an amazing Lanonlinee facial mask instead). So fun! I found, for me, it was best to make a list with expiration dates so I didn’t miss out on any of them.

I do this too! 🙂 Though, many of those places aren’t near me/in Michigan. Tere used to be lots more free offers, but many places have just stopped, or changed/cheapened their offers to requiring a purchase/just a $ off coupon. I still get what I can though.
I watch expiration dates and redeem what expires first. I love that Jersey Mikes gives you a whole year to redeem!! 😀
