FREE Apple Kids Camp for Ages 8-12 (Make Reservations Now)
Apple stores are once again hosting their very popular Apple Kids Camps throughout this summer for kids ages 8-12!
These free camps are available at Apple Retail Stores throughout the country and last an hour and a half each day for three separate days.
Space is limited and camps fill up quickly so hurry on over here to sign your kids up now – simply select your state and store and you will then be able to select your preferred week to attend.
In year’s past, each child has been limited to no more than one Apple Camp workshop and a parent has been required to stay with the child during the Apple Camp. We reonlinemend contacting your local store if you have questions about whether a parent needs to remain in-store during the length of the camp.
Choose from these free Apple Camps:
Designing Your Dream Park with iPad
Kids learn design skills to imagine a park for their onlinemunity. They’ll go on a short walk to gather inspiration and take photos of materials, colors, and textures. Then they’ll sketch their ideas in the Procreate app using iPad with Apple Pencil to bring their design to life. On the final day, they’ll present their park to the group. Note that devices will be provided.
Creating Your Own Song with GarageBand
Kids explore how to build their own song. They’ll learn rhythm basics, practice making beats, and experiment with Smart Instruments to create a melody in GarageBand for iPad. On the final day, campers will celebrate their new skills by sharing their song with the group. Note that devices will be provided.
Coding Fundamentals and Programming Robots
Kids explore fun activities to learn how to code Sphero robots. They’ll start with coding fundamentals like onlinemands, loops, and functions, then use blocks of code to create a program using the Sphero Edu app for iPad. On the final day, Campers will program lights, sounds, and animations to tell their own story starring Sphero. Note that devices will be provided.
Directing Your Own Movie w/ Clips and iMovie
Kids discover how to create fun video footage using iPad. They’ll start with fundamentals of moviemaking like experimenting with camera shots in the Clips app and drawing ideas on storyboards in Keynote. On the final day, they’ll apply their skills to make a captivating movie trailer using iMovie, and they’ll celebrate their creations. Note that devices will be provided.
Check out what readers think about Apple Camps…
I signed my son and daughter up for 2 different camps so we went every single day for a week. I thought the staff was AMAZING with the kids and the program was really good quality. The fact that I had to stay (with a younger child in tow) did not bother me. The head instructor made every effort to include me in my children’s learning, asking for my feedback, providing me with a set of headphones to listen to my daughter’s music.
My 8 yr old did this last yr & loved it. I signed him up again this year. Thanks for the heads up!
My kids are 20 and 23 and way back they did most of the camps that they offered those years. I remember garage band as their favorite. My kids were so happy doing those camps and there was no pressure to buy. We are now a very faithful Apple family because we love the products.
