I have only used my slow cooker once since getting my instant pot. Pot roast takes only 90 minutes from start to finish and bbq chicken or pork for about an hour.
I have a 6 qt and have a family of 4. 2 of which are young kids. I almost always have leftovers and can do smaller roasts and soups. I imagine when the kids are older, we will have less leftovers but still plenty big.
I use mine almost daily and it does sit on my kitchen island. It is kinda big and bulky sitting there but I really don’t have a choice! You can do sooooo much in a little amount of time. Yesterday, I had forgotten to take out a chicken breast to fix my hubby for lunch to take to work, and I was able to put in the cooker FROZEN and it cooked in less than 20 minutes. I did baked potatoes the other day and didn’t have to heat up my oven & house for an hour! It really is a time saver.
I bought the 8-quart a month ago. Having never used a pressure cooker I was a little nervous… but I LOVE it! So many features, so easy to use!
Last time you posted this deal, I bought the 6-quart. I’ve used it so much, sometimes three or four times a day so I just bought the 8-quart. Now I will have two of them and I can use them both at the same time!
