Can I ask a dumb question for all of the Keurig fans? What is the difference between a “Single Serve Keurig” and a “Keurig” – are they both not single serve? Trying to make sure I buy the right machine . . . newbie here!

In this case, they are the same thing – single use pods. However, there is a Keurig that you have to add water each time you make a cup – you only put in enough water for your one cup, so it doesn’t have a reservoir like shown above. The one shown above is the classic “elite” version. I don’t think this has the K-2.0 “technology” which is basically a sensor reading a code around the rim of the K-Cup preventing you from using knock-off K-Cups which are not licensed through Keurig. It prevents you from using a larger majority of cups, and more importantly, all of the eco friendly pods. They do have a make your own, but in the 2.0 sensor, it doesn’t work as well.

Note: I’ve been using Keurig for many years now (over 5 years), and currently own 1 elite, 2 K500 (Top of the line Keurig 2.0), and at one time had owned 4 machines at one time. I tried the Ninja and my husband couldn’t figure it out.
